Establish a purposeful and learning environment where children and young people feel secure and confident. Provide learning support to small groups and individuals with a wide range of special educational needs. Individual interventions, general or targeted in class support. study supervision (maintaining a positive working environment for children to work individually on prep during the day). Cover supervision (where the teacher is absent but has set work) and exam invigilation. Responsible for the safeguarding and well-being of children by following and being committed to the school policy relating the safeguarding, health and safety and behaviour management. build and maintain good working relationships with staff, pupils, parents/carers and the wider community of the school. Reflect and evaluate own practice. Keep up to date with current classroom practices. Provide feedback relating to the development and learning of the pupils.
Requirements:
- Professional degree in any relevant discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching assistance or any related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills.
- Excellent language skills.
- Flexible approach.
- Strong communication skills both orally and in writing.

The Role
As a member of our growing Early Years School team, you will contribute to the development of a world-class Early Years phase. You will work closely alongside colleagues to create an outstanding environment which will ensure our school offers the very best international experience for students, delivering learning opportunities both inside and outside the classroom which enables students to flourish and thrive. You will teach the core curriculum to your class, including Phonics, Literacy and Mathematics. There are specialist teachers in subjects including PE, Music, Art, French and Arabic. This allows a generous non-contact time for class teachers.
Outside of the classroom, the role of our academic team is to make positive contributions towards our Kent College family that requires a willingness to support the school in admissions, marketing and community events as our school grows in size and stature.

- Teaching Qualification gained in the UK
- Experience teaching in Early Years, including planning for continuous provision and a child centred environment
- Understanding of whole child development and supporting each child on their learning journey
- Solid knowledge of tracking and assessment in Early Years
- Recent relevant teaching experience (we are happy to employ exceptional ECTs and are able to provide the support and training as a BSME school)
- Experience of teaching children with EAL and children with SEN
- Evidence of CPD
