To recognize and support exceptional students, Kent College West Cairo offers the Scholarship Programme, which is split into three categories:

Academic Scholarship (Years 6 - 9)

This scholarship aims to identify and nurture young talent by providing financial support to students who demonstrate exceptional academic ability

Eligibility Criteria:

  • ✔︎ Open to students applying for or currently in Years 6 – 9.
  • ✔︎ Consistently high academic performance in core subjects (English, Mathematics and Science).
  • ✔︎ Strong teacher recommendations highlighting academic potential, work ethic and behaviour.
  • ✔︎ Meet or exceed the required score on the Kent College West Cairo Scholarship Examination.
  • ✔︎ Active participation in extracurricular or academic competitions is an advantage.

Scholarship Awards:

  • 50% Scholarship – Awarded to students achieving an exemplary academic record

Selection Process:

  1. Application Submission (includes academic reports and teacher recommendations).
  2. Attend Kent College West Cairo Scholarship Exam.
  3. Interview with Academic Panel.
  4. Scholarship Award Notification.

Senior Academic Scholarship (Years 10 – 11)

This scholarship is for students preparing for IGCSE examinations and who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievements and leadership potential.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • ✔︎ Open to students applying for or currently in Years 10 and 11.
  • ✔︎ A minimum of 5 subjects at Grade A or above in the previous year’s school reports.
  • ✔︎ High performance in internal or external academic examinations.
  • ✔︎ Strong teacher recommendations reflecting academic excellence, leadership and discipline.
  • ✔︎ Meet or exceed the required score on the Kent College West Cairo Scholarship Examination.

Scholarship Awards:

  • 60% Scholarship – For high-achieving students with strong academic record.

Selection Process:

  1. Application Submission (including school reports, recommendation letters, and a personal statement).
  2. Attend Kent College West Cairo Scholarship Exam.
  3. Panel Interview with the Head of Academics and Senior Leadership Team.
  4. Final Decision & Scholarship Award Notification

Sports Scholarship (Years 6 – 11)

Years 6 – 11

  • This scholarship recognises and supports students who demonstrate outstanding athletic ability and commitment to sports.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • ✔︎ Open to students applying for or currently in Years 6 – 11.
  • ✔︎ Proven excellence in one or more sports (e.g., football, basketball, swimming, athletics, tennis, etc.).
  • ✔︎ Participation and achievement of medals or rankings in international sports competitions.
  • ✔︎ Strong coach recommendations highlighting sportsmanship, discipline and potential.
  • ✔︎ Commitment to representing Kent College West Cairo in school and external sports competitions.
  • ✔︎ Strong academic performance is preferred but not mandatory.

Scholarship Awards:

  • 50% Scholarship – For students who have represented their sport at an international level and gained top medals (teams or individual)

Selection Process:

  1. Application Submission (including sports achievements, recommendation letters, and a personal statement).
  2. Interview with the Head of Sports and Senior Leadership Team.
  3. Final Decision & Scholarship Award Notification.

Senior Academic Scholarship (Years 9 – 10)

  • 50% Scholarship – For high-achieving students with strong academic records

  • Application Submission (including school reports, recommendation letters, and a personal statement).
  • Scholarship Examination (covering English, Mathematics, and Science).
  • Panel Interview with the Head of Academics and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Final Decision & Scholarship Award Notification

Sports Scholarship (Years FS2 – 10)

FS2 -Y2

  • 15% Scholarship – For students who show excellence in sports.

Years 3 – 10

This scholarship recognizes and supports students who demonstrate outstanding athletic ability and commitment to sports.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to students applying for or currently in Years 3 – 10.
  • Proven excellence in one or more sports (e.g., football, basketball, swimming, athletics, tennis, etc.).
  • Participation in regional, national, or international sports competitions.
  • Strong coach recommendations highlighting sportsmanship, discipline, and potential.
  • Commitment to representing Kent College West Cairo in school and external sports competitions.
  • Strong academic performance is preferred but not mandatory.

Scholarship Awards:

  • 25% Scholarship – For students who have represented their sport at a national level and gained top medals (teams or individual)
  • 50% Scholarship – For students who have represented their sport at an international level and gained top medals (teams or individual)

Selection Process:

  • Interview with the Head of Sports and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Final Decision & Scholarship Award Notification.



    Terms & Conditions

    Scholarships are awarded for one academic year and are subject to annual review.  

    Recipients must maintain high academic or athletic performance and uphold the school’s values and behavior standards.;

    Students who fail to meet the academic, sports, or conduct expectations may have their scholarship reduced or revoked.

    A limited number of scholarships are available, and awards are highly competitive.
