Who is Ms. Katie Alexander?

I have over 19 years of experience in prestigious British schools and nurseries across Doha, Dubai, Beirut, Manchester and Cairo. I believe the Early Years should be a time of discovery, joy and growth, giving children the confidence, curiosity and resilience they need to thrive.
I began my career in 2006, where I quickly developed a natural talent for engaging young learners and supporting their development. My passion for child-centred education led me to work in diverse international contexts, gaining valuable perspectives on how best to inspire children from all backgrounds.
For the past twelve years, I have held senior leadership roles, including three years establishing and managing British nurseries in the UAE and UK. I hold a PGCE, a BSc (Hons) in Psychology specialising in Child Development, Autism and Cognitive Development and a BTEC Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
I have been the Head of Early Years at Kent College West Cairo since its first year of operation. Prior to that, I was the Head of Nursery and Pre-Nursery at one of Egypt’s leading British schools. I work closely with parents and staff to ensure every child feels safe, valued and inspired. At Kent College West Cairo, my goal is to give children the strongest possible foundation for a life-long love of learning
