Remembrance Day

Kent College West Cairo students were invited to the Remembrance Day service by the British and Canadian Embassy in Cairo. This service commemorates all service members who have died in conflicts worldwide since the First World War. Students participated in a minute’s silence as a sign of respect to those who have died in battle, as well as the wreath laying ceremony. After the event our students were able to interact with important personnel including the British Ambassador to Egypt, Mr Garth Bayley, and were given a historical tour as to some of the battles that led to the Commonwealth war graves in Heliopolis.
